Well, it happened, I got my study of a Rainbow Lorikeet (I've been wanting to get into a position to capture one like this for quite a while). Beautiful birds which are pretty timid, hence it taking me so long to bag a study like this.

I really hope you like it as this has been a mission of mine, and thanks for looking.

Beautiful result, Andrew! With the bird's electric colours, the pastel background works well :)

Excellent image Andrew, and congrats! Love the colors and the background. I can't figure out the reflection in the lorikeet's eye, what is it?

Fantastic shot! Incredibly colors. I, too, was trying to figure out the reflection in the eye.

Thanks for the comments....much appreciated.

Concerning the reflection in the eye. Odd thing is, this chap had a tiny bit of feather lodged in its beak with I thought was distracting so I cloned it away but I left that reflection in the eye? Like, why? (Shakes head)

I've now gotten rid of that in the proof but I'll leave the one above unchanged as the reflection has been talked about...

No idea what it is. Looked at the proof, zoomed in, still no idea. I was on a sandy path and the light was bright with harsh shadows. Could it be the path reflected (he was high in a tree)? That's all I can come up with, failing that, I'm stumped.
