First efforts with HDR

Hi everyone, recently bought a 600d and only have the kit lens at the moment, not overly impressed with the sharpness so far which is more likely me than the gear. Thought I'd run one of my images through Photomatix and wanted to share the results.

Took a single image, then saved a +1 and -1 image, ran all 3 through photomatix then played about in photoshop a little bit.

not bad for a first try at photomatix!

sky is a tad dark for me.

consider bracketing your photos at +2 and -2. this will allow greater dynamic range. have fun.


Canon gear: EOS M, Canonet QL17, SX230HS, S95, SD1200IS

Thanks imjason, I was surprised at how much detail was brought back into the picture. I'll try bracketing at +/- 2 with the next one I try.
