So where is the Xmas Cinch strap ?.

gakoenig wrote in post #15281962 (external link)
You could always connect the Cinch to the factory body strap connector points. We just included the PodMount because, for most cameras, that attachment configuration works the best.

With the QR system, we will be including two sets of triangular split keys (and regular circular split keys) so you can click onto the system at any point you want. Factory strap points, PodMount, hand grip points, Custom SLR C-Loops... anything.

My only complaint at this point is not having a QD system. Storing the body with the strap attached is only a minor inconvenience though. I'll certainly be ordering the QD as soon as it is available.

I'm in a market to buy a new strap, I like the concept of the cinch but is the cinch just as comfortable as the crumpler industry disgrace? and how does it handle (slip resistant?) if the strap is over one shoulder and not across the body? btw my traps has an arch and worry it might slip down.

Used my CINCH for three days straight at COTA USGP (Formula-1) race.... Love it and worked great.
Both with a jacket on, during the early morning... And then with just a tee shirt by noon.
Plus I like the color RED. * :)
Too bad I do not need two CINCHs.

Glad to know one of our straps could make it to Austin, but I couldn't!

Greg, are you strictly mail order only, or can I drop by to pick up a Cinch? Am waiting for the QR to be released and I'll be the first in line at your front door then.. :D

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Shoot me a PM when the new stuff gets fully announced in a couple of weeks. I'm happy to meet any PDX folks who want a Cinch for coffee anywhere in town (I'm constantly going between our machine shop in Sandy, our wire shop in Hillsboro, our sewing shop in Clackamas and our plating shop in Wilsonville).

Luma itself has no real physical presence, so no front door to knock on...

And FYI - unless we hit some serious snags, we'll be releasing the QR in a few days, and have the Cinch back in stock (with a few tweaks) just in time for any Christmas orders. I'm pretty busy bringing new suppliers and our new sewing shop back online.

so we can JUST order the QR to attach to our existing cinch then?

BTW, how do you guys carry extra lenses, etc. while wearing the Cinch? I am looking for a solution that would enable me to put 1 lens on the body, say a 70-200 or 100-400 and wear it using the Cinch, while I carry say a 17-55 in a bag. Do I use a sling bag bandolier-style across my body using the other shoulder? I do have a Tamrac Velocity. Will it interfere with the Cinch operation? Don't want to look like Mexican bandit DSLR guy either lol....
