Butterfly Farm

Went to the butterfly farm to (try out my new flash) I mean entertain the kids. I discovered I need an off the camera cord for the Sigma EF 500 DG Super as with it mounted on the camera it was firing way over the top. For this picture I used my hand to bounce the light, not ideal. I now have the cord, well nearly, on Christmas day I will have it! Forgot to mention I was using a 350D 50mm 1.8 and 1 extension tube.

Really neat shot. I like your composition. It would have been nice to have the head and eyes in focus. I love that wings, translucent, almost transparent.

I agree totally with dancinec! I know it's hard to get that focal point exactly where you want it!!!

off camera and diffused is best.
