Printing in CS5 on Canvas

Im printing on Canvas with my Epson 3800.
In order to feed the canvas, I need to add a one inch of paper to the canvas.
I want to skip the first inch.
How would I miss the first inch of paper?

Its a simple matter of adding a border, the printer will centre the print if its done in the correct way, so maybe add an inch to the leading and trailing edge?

In Photoshop 7 I first make sure the background colour will be white, then go to Image > image size > Height in the drop down dialogue and change it to 2" more than it shows.

OOps, mistake!

I should have said Canvas, not image. All it will achieve doing what I wrote is distort the image. I knew what I meant, just wrote it down wrong.
