Hiked for 2 hours gaining over 800m of elevation only to reach the top as a violent storm came through. I had to hike down minutes after I reached the summit and was only able to get a few quick shots in. This is a shot facing the last part of the ridge as you get closer to the peak.

To get a feeling of perspective I made sure you can see the trail on the middle section of the ridge leading to the peak. I wish I had more time to compose a better shot but mother nature had other plans ;) What do you think of it? Any good in your opinion?

2 Hours Hiking, 800m= Underexposed Image. Next time, expose for the mountain and not the sky or do a bracket. One shot under expose to get the sky well exposed and one over expose to get the mountain well exposed.

It started snowing/Light hail as I pulled my camera out and the wind was borderline Gale force, I could only get off a few super quick clicks before I put the camera away and had to get off the ridge. That was the best I could do at the time.

Yesterday I Dislocated my knee and ended up with 13 stitches in my knee cap because of a mountain biking accident so returning to the peak wont happen till after winter

Thanks for the advice though!

pretty cool, I'd like a bit more ground and less sky. As said before, it's a bit underexposed but if you shot raw you could make this shot much better :)

Luckily i did shoot raw :D but I'm still not that good at PP. I mainly wanted to see what people thought about the subject/composure before i started wrecking my mind with trying to fix it up. I thought It was a decent shot, but wasn't sure if i was convincing myself that so the hike wasn't a waste of time. When i get home from work I'l try get it looking a bit better.

I'd bump the exposure, clarity, and contrast.

Tried my best to get it exposed a little more evenly in LR4. Any better?

The middle third of the image is better but I like the foreground and sky (sun spots) better in the first shot. In the second shot they compete with the center of the frame. Maybe an ND Grad on both top and bottom bringing them back to original would be the ticket. Have you tried an 8x10 with less sky? I'm not sure the sun spots at the top are helping the image.

I like this, although I myself would add a bit more drama by adding some nice contrast to it. Love the line the peak of the foreground mountain creates leading to the background peak!

I like it a lot and don't really think it is underexposed (although I'm on my iPhone). The peak of the mountain is a little too central IMO. It needs to go a little to the left

Hmm i was thinking a little more contrast too. I really like this photo myself and the more I stare at it the more I respect the effort it took to get to the top! I'l have another go at the contrast and then this might be the first pic of mine to ever be printed and hung on my wall :D
