I think I like the Hayden and Dovi shots the best. Where did you take them?

I shot all my stuff today at turn 6.

MotoGP turn 6 at the Speedway is a good place and a bad place at the same time.

That turn has a large open area with no fencing. The opening always attracts an overflow crowd of people with cameras (one of the small crowds from Friday is shown here). So, to avoid the crowd, I'll head to the area around turn 1-3 and aim though the fencing, which can be made to work with a long lens, and offers an unique view.

Great stuff. I was in turn 6 Saturday morning for GP practice one then tried turn 2 through the fence but my 70 - 200 was not giving me what I wanted. I moved to the back stretch for the rest of qualifying. Hope they come back for next year.

Distances at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are so long that a 70-200mm is on the short side. It was common to see 500mm and 600mm lenses in use for routine images for the MotoGP weekend. The shortest focal length used for the main images, the Ivan Silva picture at turn 2, through the fence, was 313mm. Everything else was 400-500mm from a Sigma 150-500mm OS lens. Experience has shown that the 150-500mm offers the correct field of view for the Speedway.

Bravo sire, great set and apart from #5 all really nice n sharp, if anything I would nudge the vibrancy up just a touch to help them 'pop'

'Premier class' hate to say it but I think it's losing it's appeal, WSBK and BSB seems to be where all the action and fun are at the moment, lot closer racing as well. Time will tell I guess eh
