Since there isn't really much in terms of tonal variation (the original image evidently being predominantly green with very little shadow) the resulting image in black and white doesn't really have any contrast to define any sort of interesting tonal composition (chiaroscuro). This problem is further compounded by the fact that there isn't really a focal point or strong composition to the image as it is. It's a shame because you've tried an interesting approach with the low POV which is cool to see, but ultimately I feel your composition just doesn't really work. Did you happen to take any other shots in the same location? Leigh
