When considering the used 7D I picked up included a grip, 3 OEM batteries and an EOS Count of 2298 for an out of pocket cost of $475 after trading my 60D and it was a no brainer. I have been satisfied with the AF performance of my 60D. I used a 85 1.8 and a 135L for basketball, hockey and a 70-300 under good lights. What lenses do you use with the 7D in sporting situations? Is it noticeably faster (AF) than the 60D. I have upgraded to a Σ70-200 2.8 OS. I am just wondering how much better the 7D's AF can be. I do plan on getting a 5D3 when they show up on the Canon refurbished site.
