Bought from a member here. Bought a card tonight, downloaded the manual, and am excited to start enjoying this baby. The big new world of full frame; have 1000D (Rebel XS).

I've been seeing them go for $500-600 on ebay lately, really tempted to buy one instead of a T2i.

Congrats on the camera. 5D is a lot of fun and a great way to get into a full frame.

Maverick, you should get the 5D over the T2i. I went T3i to 5D and would make that decision again every time. It's a great camera.

Congrats! I just entered the full frame dSLR world a few weeks ago myself. It's totally different from the crop world. Have fun!

Welcome to the full frame world! I always thought of the 5D as a truly wonderful camera.

I loved my 5D classic. My advice is get a 50 1.4 and a 28 1.8. I'd much rather have them than a zoom. Have fun.

Old MF primes works on 5Dc perfectly as well. OM Zuiko 28 3.5 and FSU 50mm primes would give very interesting pictures. Better compare to some Canon lenses, IMO.

Ditto Ditto Ditto... LOVE LOVE LOVE mine...
Fully agree with the 50mm 1.4 suggestion above.
That and the 70-200 f/4 L and sigma 15-30 are my work lenses.
clients don't want to pose and give the photographer a little working time these days so AF is essential for speed I find
BUT
A whole bunch of M42's are my pleasure. Jupiter / takumar / zeiss/ olympus etc etc ..
Get a rocket blower though and blow the sensor daily, or at least very regularly (depending on your use / lens changes)
You don't want small dust to attract and stick big dust that requires wet cleans so a £5 blower i suggest is your next purchase..
Blower/sensor brush/wet clean is my hierarchy for the sensor.
My mirror came loose , a.k.a. fell off!
Small spots of epoxy glue repaired that a dream.. $$$MEGABUCKS$$$ @ canon for a repair..
That warm glow never recedes!
