Most of these were taken between 7:40 & 9:15

1. Most of the shots are at 1/20 sec, but I accidentally bumped the speed down to 1/13 for some. I'm surprised that this one came out so well.

Nice photos! You have more patience/guts than me, not up to dealing with that many people this year. Went for the emergency vehicle parade last year, and pizza at Como's.

That's what I like about motion shots... everyone likes something a little different!

I don't mind Friday, but Saturday is so much worse that I watched it on TV this year. It's still a fun event on the week leading up to it, though.

Thanks for the comments, guys!

The 69 Camaro at 1/13 is a real surprise. In 1/13 sec it should have moved forward to blur a head on shot like yours. You must have very steady hands.

Actually, as the cars approached I was zooming out to keep them the same size in the frame. And it doesn't hurt to be a little lucky, either! ;)

Thanks, Dan. You're the only person to vote for #5 so far, & it & #8 are my favorites!

I'm sorry that you couldn't make the biggest weekend party in the world! But the action near the Shell will go on for weeks on Friday & Saturday nights, so try to get out there.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

5 just jumped off the page for me. A little vintage processing and Eliot Ness could be at the wheel.
