Hummers and Hawks - revisited [Naturally graphic]

Hi all,

It seems it's that time of year again when we get a lot of photo ops with the Hummers... and, with the Hawks.

This juvie Ruby-throat has apparently taken over Buzz's stick:

And this juvenile Coopers Hawk dropped in for breakfast in the neighbor's tree:

His prey was a sparrow definitely, ... can't be sure which species but we hope it wasn't one of our Eurasian Tree Sparrows.

Abbypanda - The hummingbird images are from our Canon SX30-IS, which uses a 24-840mm zoom lens (and a tiny sensor). These shots were taken at full-reach, hand-held from about 15ft.
