That's right, me. My daughter wanted me to photograph her informal wedding last night, so I did a quick edit for her to share on FB. Here are a few of those photos. My new son in law is a West Point grad and US Army Captain, and as you can see, they had a great time. As for me, I'd much rather shoot a wedding for people I don't know.

Wow it doesn't look like an informal wedding - full dress, formal cake, reception venue. How stressful for you! Hahaha. Hope you managed to enjoy the wedding too.

Lovely photos. Your daughter is beautiful.

Being the Father of the Bride was a pretty full time job for me at my daughter's wedding, I couldn't imagine doing the photography. But, a very commendable job, beautiful couple, and some very nice shots. Kudos to you for your multi tasking abilities. Curious how you got pictures of yourself giving the toast, or the Father/Daughter dance?

Very nice photos, looks like everyone had a great time. Maybe it's just me, but your daughter looks amazingly like Kristin Chenoweth (West Wing, RV among others...)

Thanks everyone. It was informal and in a restaurant, so we didn't have to adhere to the standard wedding shots.
I didn't walk her in, the ceremony was over in 5 minutes, and we had sufficient toasts so that a few people got toasted. She and her attendants pretty much took care of everything else, so all I had to do was eat and shoot when I saw an opp.
Now the hard parts begins - editing before her beau leaves for Afghanistan in a week. He did inform me that the "fighting season" was coming to a close. Apparently the other team doesn't have insulated clothing, so they stay holed up until spring.

Great photos! Your daughter and son-in-law are beautiful. Best wishes to them! I wish I could take some photos on my daughter's wedding. Several friends of mine already offered to be the "dad" on that day so I can shoot. :)

Funny but #6, the one where she's chugging away, is my favorite. #1 is also cool.

Fun. I am sure it was hard to focus on photography when it's your daughter!
