This started out being one of those mornings that just didn't go according to plan. Our ground level room door at the Lodge literally opened to this view. When I got up there was a fairly good breeze blowing so I was quickly searching for my ND filter setup but couldn't find what I did with them. So gave up and just got the tripod/camera down to the waters edge an waited. After about 45 minutes in 36°F temps the water across Swiftcurrent Lake went nearly calm and offered up this short opportunity to capture its beauty.
And to add that on this day 8/03 in 2 hours from taking this photo turned out to be extremely overcast and raining, the North face mountain tops getting dusted with snow. We never saw temps above 58°F on our hike to the Ptarmigan Tunnel.
As always thanks for your time having a look!
