My Main Models went to the Dogs!

My Sheltie"s are my main models for trying to learn lighting. They are very patient and sit still in return for some carrots and ball launching.
This was a three flash set up, two with soft boxes, and one bare.
I find lighting so difficult, so any help with how I could of done better would be greatly appreciated.
This picture was for a card I was making for a friend whom is moving to Paris.

You need a light for the background to separate the dogs from it. Otherwise they will be blended on it.
