Didn't catch the barefoot before. It's croppable. I took both of your versions and blended them together to get this...

All I did was I created a new layer and pasted one photo on top of the other and I think i applied a 65% Opacity to the top layer. Not sure which image I put on top and what the exact percentage was. I'm not at my home computer anymore. I'll look in a couple of hours when I get home if you need to know what I did exactly.

Top layer was the brighter version and I put it at 60% Opacity.
