The amount of variables for a shot like this is pretty incredible. Too bad it is not quit possible to get the galactic core right above the volcano. The Sun is too high that time of year to see it. This is downsized from a 10,000 pixel wide pano stitch, so it's hard to see all the stars and details. By far the most complex night photo I have ever attempted.

Yes St Helens. :) I would like to try it again next year with some better night glass like the Nikon 14-24. My 16-35 sucks ass for night panos. Not sure if I will get the moon at the right time again though... :(

Excellent shot. KUDOS to you.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

Maybe a poisonous gas cloud floating South from Tacoma?

There's a lot of strange light happening here. No heavy manipulation done at all.

Beautiful. Just to add a layer of complexity, you should have done it during the meteor shower haha

Glad you like it. I only wish the forum rules would allow for me to post a larger version, even though I am hosting it outside of POTN.
