Lotus Festival @ Brands Hatch - The F1 Cars

Rather than share the racing shots I thought I'd post up a couple of shots just from the F1 demos. Looked and sounded IMMENSE! Was outrageously hot, I'm sweating just thinking about it again lol. I enjoyed the weekend though, was playing with a 400mm 5.6 prime, funny old thing but worked pretty well - so long as cars kept their distance and stayed on the track

Fantastic images of fantastic cars. Who was driving the JPS, looks like Martin Donnely's helmet.

I can remember seeing the Camel Lotus with the Lambo V12 engines @ Spa in 1990.....they sounded the best...

Very nice set, but then you knew I would say that funny though now I can see a slightly larger version I think #1 has the edge.

Thanks for the comments. The lighting in #1 has worked out quite well because the lead car is just coming out of the shadow from a bridge (which you can't see).

#3 is being printed and put on the wall on my staircase

For sure the Camel Lotus is one of my favourite looking F1 cars of all time! Was well jealouse of a mate at school who had a 1/20 model
