Dave,
I'd say your classes have paid of handsomely. These are excellent. Classic stuff, light, pose, everything. And a couple of very lovely young ladies too.

Beautiful work! Can I ask how you set them up, what lighting you used and what you used for a background? I looked at your website and enjoyed the painting with light stuff, I used to do that to shoot the interior of houses.

Excellent shots of two beautiful girls!
My only nit to pick would be that their dark hair tends to blend in with the dark background.

Beautiful girls you have... I'm not sure about the "Eye of Thoth" effect on the second girl's eye makeup, but she's pretty enough to pull it off anyway. I agree with Curtis a little. I think just a touch more hair lighting would pull them away from the background. But all in all, I'd pay for portraits like this of my kids without a second thought. Nice work.

Very nice. I especially like the second one. Portraiture is such a challenge and you have done very well here. Keep up the good work.

Dave, Really nice work. I like the way in which you have used the girl's white shirts to reflect light up into neck and face, enhancing the skin tones.

I have left some votes on your portrait gallery.
Best wishes,

Ken

Wow, Great response. Thank you Dave, Michael, Scott David, Bob, Curtis, Peter, John, Bryan, Wagonwheel, Char, and Ken:D :D

Michael, I've been taking individual classes at Metro Community College in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. They have one of the best programs in the country. Each course varies in price.

Scott, I used 2 studio strobes with soft boxes and a black cloth back ground. 5:1 ratio
I really need a third strobe for the background. After Christmas. I love Painting with light.

David, There idea

John, I'm not to sure about the "Eye of Thoth" either:lol:
