This is my first real attempt at anything like this. Took this at around 6:15 a.m. Hawaii time since I don't own a ND Filter (Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 / f22 / 15 sec). I want to purchase a filter, but I want to make sure I get something good on the first try/buy, (I dont have $$$ to burn...haha). I've dabbled a little but never put the amount of work into a drag shutter shot as I did this one...anyway here it is, again, this is my first one

I like the exposure. It's not very colorful, but the blues and purples are interesting enough. Shark's Cove yeah?

I'm on zenfolio too. Check me out at www.greatescapephotography.com (external link)

I like the result too, ESPECIALLY for a first try! Time to whip out that credit card! :D

Glad you posted, for a couple of reasons.

One, I did not know about ND filters (purpose) until like a month ago. Also, I've got that same lens in my bag.

The shot is pretty cool for a first crack at it.
