Has anyone else been to one(or have kids who went to one)?

I have a chance to attend them, I looked at the lineup and there's really not anyone I care to go see perform. But I was wondering about the red carpet do they allow non photographers to go and take pictures?(would be borrowing a 5DM2/24-70)

I'm guessing they don't and you need a press pass, but who knows It's just MTV after all not the Grammys or anything fancy.

side note their promo pics were taken with a 1DsM3 :D

Definitely won't be able to shoot from the carpet unless you are credentialed. VMA's are a big deal and security is extremely tight, especially on the carpet.

Yeah that's what I thought and called to confirm, all of the passes are taken. They said If I want one next year I need to apply now and send in credentials.
