Thumbtack, yelp, google local, yahoo. I don't want to impose on my clients to do a review in more than one place. Which one do you guys think is the best one?

Google Plus, so the reviews appear when people do a search for photographers.

Totally agree about using google. I'm fairly sure google openly admits to ranking sites associated with higher ratings a little higher--or at least giving them a little more weight in especially searches on google maps / places.

Yeah that makes sense thanks. Do you guys put much effort into your google + accounts? I mean, you still use Facebook as your primary social media site for increasing web awareness right?

Google and Yahoo or okay, but the best for me has been Wedding Wire. From what I hear, prospects who find you by doing generic searches will see those reviews. Prospects who already know about you and want to see what reviews you have will deliberately go to WW.

I have a lot of client reviews not show up in google. Anyone else with this issue here? From searching around the web it sounds like many have the same issue where google may have a very high spam setting that blocks their review. Shouldn't it be up to me to block spam? The review will show up still on the clients end but not on the web. Its hard to get reviews and when google seems to block 1 out of every 4 that really hurts.

I have mine on my website. At one point I used a FB app until support got pulled from it. Now I figure the only place that I can guarantee that they will remain available is my website.

I'm going to add a "add a review" module to the site in the near future.

Ditto

we market on wedding wire for our area and all of our clients are asked to submit a review. It helps us a bunch. Take a look.
