I can't seem to get my 50mm 1.2 to focus when I use a remote.

Hey guys. I don't know what i'm doing wrong but I have actually tested the remote with my other lenses and their AF works perfectly fine but when I try to take a self portrait with my Canon 50mm 1.2 using my remote after placing the camera on my tripod it never focuses.

What am I doing wrong here? When I try to focus with my remote it doesn't allow me to lock focus instead it just shoots straight away.

Is there something wrong with my remote or my lens?

Help :(

I own a bunch of Canon stuff and I love taking pictures. Follow me on twitter (external link) :o
