Last weekend I attended the 25th anniversary Ottawa Valley IMAA giant scale event which is held near Kingston, Ont and what an event it was. Perfect weather & more warbirds than usual along with a few pilots skilled enough to do high speed low level passes. From a photographers point of view it was great. To qualify as giant scale they have to be 1/4 scale of larger but that rule doesn't insist on true scale so there are lots of scale looking planes that pass from a distance but not close up. These pass the up close & personal test.

Good work. I especially like the closer perspective on the Spitfire.

Thanks. The Skyraider got a lot of attention and so did the Spit. The owner / pilot of the Skyraider also flew the ME 109 & (and I think that P 51 is his too). It was his first time attending the event & he put on a great show doing low level passes throughout each flight. The Spitfire had a rough landing & tore one retract off but he's a regular at many local events. Fortunately the sun is in the right place for great lighting in the mornings at that particular field.
