I did a search, and haven't seen anything posted. I have a TechNet account and have access to the full release of Windows 8. I installed it on a new hard drive tonight, and migrated my LightRoom setup to the new drive, and SO FAR all is well. I haven't imported anything yet, but when I opened LightRoom for the first time, it opened to the last import I was working on, and all other pics were still intact.

What I did, and what Adobe says to do is copy your catalog(s) and pics from the old drive to the EXACT location on the new drive. For me it was easy because I had everything in my User folder. So I copied everything to the new drive first, before installing LightRoom. Then I installed LightRoom, and opened it, and all was right with the world.

They also suggest, as a shortcut around updates and such, to download the demo from the Adobe site, and when installing, just enter your serial number(s).

I apologize if this was posted before, or was so simple that everyone knows already.

EDIT: Hold on to your hats when running Windows 8. It is REALLY different from Windows 7, but seems to boot WAY faster than Windows 7.
