i hope a moderator can move this thread then.

Light modifiers, no matter how well they work, are always going to rob you of flash power. This makes them very limited in usefulness in situations where you have to light a large area with a single light. And anyway, they tend to only work over fairly short distances. A light mod like that will be practically useless when you are trying to light a large group.

I shot this without flash.

ISO1600 f/4.0 @ 1/80th of a second. I wanna do it without flash actually, more natural.

We use two off-camera speedlights off-camera with umbrellas. In manual mode. We point the umbrellas toward the person on the opposite side so we have nice and even distribution of lights through the whole group. Of course this is in most catholic/darker churches.
In situations where we have nice natural lights (mode modern churches) we use the flash as fill. Then one speedlight is fine.
In other scenarios we encourage to have have group photos outdoor. Even in mid day we can find a nice open shade.
