Interesting capture, Marie. Brings to mind a few thoughts:

They drink that American industrial yellow water in Ireland? How truly sad ...

The beer bottles and papers strewn about the street reminds me of Detroit (more sadness)

Your subject and the others in the background look relatively "dressed up". So are they leaving church, a funeral, or a wedding? Based on the beer attached to her mouth, I'm hoping it's a wedding.

thanks a lot everyone

this was after the race meeting
Budweiser sponsors the Irish Derby for some years now
( it changed radically )

the litter is from newspapers which a newpaper boy was handing out (free) to everyone.
groups of people (heading out )took the free papers handed to them and prompty dropped them as most had a few beers or a few women in/on their hands
the breeze caught the newspapers and swept them around
I know, I was there and saw it all happening
:confused:

hence all my shots have these newspapers strewn around all over the place
I even had a newspaper in my bicycle basket
Guinness sponsors nearly all the rest of the sport events
Budweiser is everywhere over here

I only drink cola and stuff like it but never could drink out of the tin or bottle
