Good shot Marie. I think the photo is totally self explanatory. :D :D

It also makes you wonder what she's carrying in her bag.

Shame Shame, an Irish lass in the land of Guinness drinking a Budweiser. Should hang her head in shame.

Interesting capture, Marie. Brings to mind a few thoughts:

They drink that American industrial yellow water in Ireland? How truly sad ...

The beer bottles and papers strewn about the street reminds me of Detroit (more sadness) :(

Your subject and the others in the background look relatively "dressed up". So are they leaving church, a funeral, or a wedding? Based on the beer attached to her mouth, I'm hoping it's a wedding. :)

thanks a lot everyone

this was after the race meeting
Budweiser sponsors the Irish Derby for some years now
( it changed radically )

the litter is from newspapers which a newpaper boy was handing out (free) to everyone.
groups of people (heading out )took the free papers handed to them and prompty dropped them as most had a few beers or a few women in/on their hands
the breeze caught the newspapers and swept them around
I know, I was there and saw it all happening
:confused::(

hence all my shots have these newspapers strewn around all over the place
I even had a newspaper in my bicycle basket
Guinness sponsors nearly all the rest of the sport events
Budweiser is everywhere over here

thanks

we have a high fine for litter over here (usually)
