Mostly, I just go with sunset now. ; D I waited for sunset, but it clouded over and sent me packing for groceries, which is part of why I do these trips, since the rail lines go through much larger towns then I live near. This allows me access to more variety of grocery stores, and better bargains, plus I get to shoot trains, so its a win, win, win, if I also get two golden hours with trains in a day, since its a minimum 30 minute drive to a rail line for me.
