Editing Photos/Copyright Text?

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I hope I am posting this in the area. I recently purchased the Canon EOS 5D Mark iii. I am liking this camera a lot. My question is how do I add text to a photo with this camera'? I.E. copyright by etc?

you can't have the text being applied on top of the photo by the camera, it can only store it in the exif

Right. If you want to add it to the image itself, you have to do it in post.
