OS X monitor calibration

As you can see in this pic, I'm having trouble entering the calibration process on a new mbp with antiglare hd.

I've never done this before. So it may be something silly/obvious that I'm missing. I apologize if that is the case!

I do realize it's not the best, this is just a temporary fix for about 1 week before I can do a proper calibration.

What am I missing here? Thanks for any input.

What calibration device are you using?

Uncheck the box that says "Show profiles for this display only." Then try again, whatever you were doing.

i tried that, same results, very odd!

Heres where the profiles are stored in Windows 7.

What happens if you select "color LCD" and try again?

Profiles are either in Macintosh HD/Library/Colorsync/P​rofiles/Displays or ~/Library/Colorsync/Pr​ofiles/Displays

fired it up today and the profiles are there! thanks all.

I still don't see what profiles you are expecting to see. These are created by calibration devices after careful checks are done on your own monitor. Any pre-existing "generic" profile is worthless.

Also, a major part of the calibration process is resetting the luminance level down to something suitable. This cannot happen if your own monitor is not calibrated.
