I have a 1D Mark II, Epson 7800 and Qimage. I would like to get the color profiles implemented for these devices. Anyone know of a tutorial or work with these? My search didn't find anyone using Qimage for printing.

Check this site http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/ (external link) for Qimage, under the Support tab you will find "Printer Friendly PDF Manual. I think it is about 150 pages. Hope this helps.

Duane, thank you very much ... it isn't that hard when you have the best equipment in the world, the best venue, the best talent and the best employers!

Do you use color profiles? I just downloaded the manual and printed if off but haven't had time to read it ... I was able to do quite a bit by the 'seat of my pants' but I am ready to get more serious so that will be my next move. I'll get back to you if I have "issues" although the QIMAGE Yahoo Group seems to be pretty active. Thanks again for your pointer to the manual.

Dwight, The only profiles that I use are those provided with my printer and I only use Epson paper and ink. I did profile my monitor and Qimage uses that profile. I also use Rawshooter and that is my basic workflow. I forgot to mention that there is a quick start tutorial for Qimage on the same web-site. The tutorial really got me started and I also just jumped in. The manual di allow me to really fine tune everything once I got use to the basics. Qimage is amazing to me, no need to bother with dpi or resolution settings elsewhere and the results are awesome. Good luck and hope your Holidays(Christmas) is Wonderful! duane

I have an epson4000 and use Qimage for my printing. I use eye one photo and create my own profiles that is the best way to go if you like to use different types of papers . John
