I'm hoping that it is OK to post this. If not please let me know.

My iPhone app called Photo Shoot List was just released to the Apple Store. Photo Shoot List is a to-do type list for photographers to keep a list of shots to get at a given shoot. Examples of shoots might be travel locations, events like weddings, or just a "bucket-list" of shots you might want to take.

You can create your own lists or buy pre-done templates. I'm looking for POTN folks who would like to create templates and offer them for sale in the app. I'm looking for travel locations (major cities, National Parks), events (weddings, Bar Mitzvah, etc), Posing Guides for studio work, etc. Please contact me if you are interested and I'll send you additional details.

Info on the app can be found at http://www.photoshootlist.com (external link)

To be quite honest...you should probably offer it free to get some traffic and reviews on your app going. Once it's got some positive reviews and proven to work well, then start charging.

The website is pretty vague and I certainly wouldn't buy it based on what I see there. At least in the iTunes store you have a couple of screen captures. I know it is only .99 and that should help you get some people who are willing to spend that much just to have a look. This looks like a multi-level to do list which I do in Evernote. I agree with the above that you should be free for a period of time to get people talking about it. I wish you luck with it.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I use extensive notes pro app and similar stuff. I'm not sure about the utility of a "to do" list photo app

For me the usefulness is having sample shots in the list. I will often do concept shoots where we use reference photos and I was always either making a spreadsheet or word document with the shots and description. These worked but I would often not have the latest version with me, or forget to print it, or not have my laptop available.

There are dozens of solutions to the problem and not all are going to work for everyone. This one works great for me.

couple of things; the phone in your video is often tilted, probably not a big deal but it bothers me.
can you integrate the voice input into this for adding shoot lists, notes, etc.? Does this work on the IPad, and size itself to the IPad screen?

probably not something i'd want on my phone, it appears to remove the spontaneity that I enjoy in my photography.

I'm not quite that detailed. My style is more free styling "go with the flow", I can't see using sample reference photos

The video is being redone, the tilt bothers me too.

Currently no voice input, but will look into that. Also currently iPhone only, iPad version had some technical issues so was delayed.

If you just have lists, then nothing, and you could even use any other to-do app. The advantage is that you can have reference photos, can have templates, and can buy pre-done lists (templates). For example we are coming out with a posing template that has hundreds of poses for portraiture/models. From that template you can pull the 10-12 shots you want to be sure to get during your session.

I shoot both ways (hmmm...that doesn't sound quite right ). For my fun shoots I am free-form and just shoot whatever appeals to me. If it's a paid shoot, a commercial shoot, or a concept shoot for my fine art then I have a list of shots to get.
