So, when I first found this forum I was a little hesitant.
Soon I came to realize that this is the most fun conglomerate of photography addicts. Yes, we have our gearfreaks and technophiles - and don't we love them all- and our occasional sour puss. But I really love coming in here and reading all of the honest advise given to both newbies and old amateurs like me.
Thus, I am taking a little time to say thank you to each and everyone of you for reminding me why I love photography so much.:):):)
Keep on shooting.

Well said. I'm pretty new here, but I have learned so much already. This site has really helped me learn and remember what I used to know as I haven't really been into photography for about the last 10 years.

Ah go getta life, wastin' our time on a gratuitous post?

-----

Just kidding, my attempt at being a sourpuss... :)

This is indeed a great forum and community, there is a great mix of talent, passion, technical knowledge, and generally healthy debates here!

I'll take the compliment and give it back - this is a good forum board, even with the occassional "out of focus" posts/members.

The only reason I'M here is to post crappy pictures

thus making everyone else's work look awesome. That's why the title fairy doesn't touch me. Bwaaaaahahaha.

You're welcome and welcome to the forum!

This forum is indeed very educational. Although some of the education you receive doesn't translate very well in real world opinion, you excel very quickly using this board. I've outgrown my peers very quickly, and I have only this forum to thank for it!

Welcome aboard and try to keep your credit cards / Paypay info tucked away somewhere safe. The merciless temptress known as GAS has no mercy here.

Well, let me add to the thanks. I came to digital from film and manual everything about 4 years ago. I have learned a lot about gear, lighting, PP and photography in general by participating (sometimes arguing) in these fora. Educational, informative and entertaining. What more could you ask for? It is kinda like Sesame Street on your computer.
