In the haze of all that happens within Adelaide during “Mad March”, somehow I had never heard of the temporary venue Barrio.

It shouldn’t be surprising then, that I’d also been blind to the advertising for St. Vincent and her show scheduled to appear there.

What a cool venue, and what an amazing show!

I enjoyed framing different parts of the casino in the background of these shots and even though the stage lighting leant heavily on the red, it was still very workable.

Nice set, but I'd try to recover the skintones in the last one…

Thanks Rene, you want to have a crack at it? I tried, but failed, so left as shot.

Rick, that last one, the one you liked the colour in is (as Rene pointed out) waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far in the reds, and consequently a rubbish shot. I'm curious, what about the colours do you like?

You can either grab the 1000px jpg directly above or PM me your email and I'll flick you on a larger version?

Heck of an image to work with. Here's my take:

IMAGE: http://www.getcolormanaged.com/images/POTN/bjwok/29.jpg

Bit too green, now I see it again…

Here's the .xmp file http://www.getcolormanaged.com/images/POTN/bjwok/29.xmp (external link)

(Will probably open as text in your browser. "Save as" will work)

Still clipped in sRGB, but not much clipping in AdobeRGB.

Good job mate!

It was a tough one that's for sure!

It's not so much the clipping in the reds, it's just what they do to the skin tones that I loath! Those damn pesky reds!! :)
