First off I wanted to say that Rich over at FoCal has done a tremendous job at customer service. I had some issues and he was extremely helpful at resolving them. Second, this pro version has provided me with a very helpful tool with all the tests it has. Ok, so after testing a few things I wanted to share one test about the 70-200 2.8 OS lens by Sigma. The aperture sharpness test. You can see it does show to be "soft" at 2.8 but it is far from sharp the lens is nicely sharp but does get sharper just as the graph shows. 3.2 is extremely sharp and same at 3.5 and my experience shows F4 is best at least from my real world results indicated.

Anyway I just wanted to share the results. If I had a Canon version I would test it out also but I don't. I will post up about my 85mm because it's results show it drop alot below 2.8 but still real world tests you cannot tell because after MA it the lens performs phenomenally.

I would agree with your results. I just picked up this lens about a month ago. Did my usual off-the-cuff, dogs in the backyard testing. This lens is fantastic at all apertures when not at or close to 200mm. The following comments are all pertaining to 200mm FL. I do agree that it is at it's worst at f/2.8 and 200mm, and that it sharpens up quickly. F/3.2 is better - by f/4 is is excellent. Just a comment about sharpness - it is relative. To say it is somewhat soft at 2.8 is misleading, I believe. While it is softer at 2.8 than at 4, it is definitely better at 2.8 than my 70-300 non-L was at 300mm and f/5.6, maybe f/8, too. This is a fantastic lens.
