Has anyone upgraded yet?

Just got it but wont have anything to edit until after tomorrow.

was wondering about thoughts and opinions. and new features that are the most helpful.

so far the biggest thing i have noticed is that CS6 will take native footage from almost all the popular cameras now from arri to canon DSLR. will save time and make lots of people including myself a lot happier not needed to transcode footage from my 7D before editing :D

I can send you 500GB worth of wedding footage that you can test it out on :) I'll need a completed by early next week.

All kidding aside, I've had CS6 for a few months now, but haven't found a good stopping point to upgrade. Is it normal to upgrade in the middle of projects? I use third party plug-ins that I'm not sure if they're compatible with CS6 at the moment.

Got it as part of the master collection and only used it a little bit but it seems almost exactly the same as CS5 - although maybe I just don't use it enough to notice the changes? For the amount that I use it, I wouldn't have paid for the upgrade.

It's like CS5 alright... it's a lot faster though. I wouldn't say there are as many cosmetic or feature changes as under-the-hood stuff. Unless you're a power-user I don't think you'll be flipping with joy over the changes.

In which case it's probably not worth it; If you had 500GB of wedding footage to go through, though, it probably would.

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

right off the start, and im not sure if this was in cs5.5, but having adjustment layers for video editing is pretty awesome. as now i can add unsharpen mask to everything rather than each individual clip as i prefer to shoot with the neutral profile on my camera. not sure why just what i do lol

Nice! I'm not even sure if this is available in CS5, but I'll check since this feature would be very beneficial!

adjustment layers are new. Other new features include a much improved three-way color corrector. looks the same but performs much better. They have also added a very good stabilizer and rolling shutter repair that were previously available only in After Effects. if you are an audio guy, they finally got rid of that stupid requirement of having different track types for mono and stereo files

Nice, just ran into that quirk last week with CS5.
