Any news on the new Canon SX50 yet?

Just wondering if there is any news on the new Canon SX50 yet?

I think i've read in a few places here and there that normally these new camera get released around about now but i've not seen anything but a few rumours?

Anyone heard anything concrete yet on release date/specs?

Since they just announced the SX160 and SX500 (see sticky), I wouldn't expect them to announce another PowerShot for a couple more months, at least.

There's a guy over at dpreview.com who has recieved his and posted a few photos. B&H is showing them as in stock now. I'm still debating whether to pick up an SX40 at clearance price or hold out for the SX50.

Well, I'm on a tight budget and found an SX40 new in the box on clearance at Target for $292. Couldn't pass that up. Congrats to those who are getting the SX50, though. Can't wait to see the images..

Congrats on a good deal. I have the 40 and love it. Focuses slow but it does get pictures for me I couldnt' get with my other camera. Good luck with your new camera, enjoy.

Yes, I'm enjoying it so far. I got it because I could never afford a lens that long for my 40D. Plus, it's light and easy to carry on hiking trips, etc. It would never replace my 40D, but it's a nice addition to my bag.
