I have three Cheetah C8 stands.
I've had them for at least a couple of years.

They work great. A couple of months ago I noticed that one of the stands top section was getting really hard to lock. I had to really work to get the fitting to clamp tight enough to hold up a speedlite.

So, after last weekend having grabbed that stand by mistake, I decided to send an email to Cheetahstand to see how I could get it fixed.

Edward just called. He is sending me a replacement clamping unit. I asked how much, he said no, the problem is bad machining so I should replace it.

Thanks Edward. That's reinforcing what I knew was good customer service.

Edward rocks! If only every Internet vendor had customer service like his.

Yes, Edward is stand up guy. I've sent emails to him as well, and within an hour, he would give me a phone call when I was expecting a reply email. Very happy with his customer service.

I think it's a very, very sad reflection on the state of retailing when something like this even needs commenting upon. Once upon a time, the principle was "The customer is always right", now it seems to predominently be "The customer is right only till we've got their money".

I'm unlikely ever to deal directly with Cheetahstand (shipping costs/import duty/etc) but have got to say a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to this vendor for maintaining what are obviously the highest standards. Good for you, Sir - long may you prosper.

Multiple purchases from Edward. One minor problem with a diffuser on a softbox. Edward shipped me another diffuser in a heartbeat. I have no problem with a vendor that stands behind their products the way he does. He has earned my business many times over...

Regards,

Just ordered my second Q-box 24 from him this morning and will have it Tuesday. Have also ordered cords and stands and his service is great. A word of warning though. Don't try to drive there during Dallas rush hour traffic!!!

Ha, same can be said for some places around metro Chicago -- actually just about everyplace during rush hour.

The part Edward sent arrived today in the USPS, took about 5 seconds to replace the old part. Stand works great again.

He and Buff are the top of the heap in US, at least for photo gear.

Indeed!
But, don't spread yourself too thin... if I have a choice between your stellar customer service, or having you around at a moment's notice for chat, I'll take the former. :D

I had an issue with my soft box that I emailed him about. He called me within minutes to get my address and said he would be sending out a replacement. I asked about sending the one back and he said not to worry about it and keep it as a backup.

Edward truly runs his company better than any other company out there. I will always purchase from him.
