I'm thinking maybe Minolta are not going to keep up in the DSLR market. They're dependant on 3rd party lenses and unless we're offered a decent range of lenses then the body has no future. I'm going to keep tabs on them tho' for the exact reason you state.
Konica/Minolta have withdrawn from the digital camera market in Canada. Could this be a preview of the future for the whole company? The Canadian market is certainly not the most lucrative market in the world, but if they can't compete here, how long will they be able to compete in the rest of the world.
I hope this is wrong. Minolta has always brought out innovative film and digital cameras and provide and incentive to C & N to keep innovating. Also, Konica used to make good film SLR's and lenses(I used them), but failed to make the jump to auto focus when it came out. I hope Konica hasn't merged with Minolta just in time to miss the jump to digital.
