Decided to leave my 1D MKIII home and have a little Downhill Mountain Biking fun with my 5D MKIII.... I can confirm that the canon 5D MKIII can be used for Downhill Mountain Biking.... :-) Super Fast Focus.... Just as fast if not faster than my 1D MKIII....

these were used in "Case 1"" in the AF function. I tried messing around with different settings but i got better results with "Case 1"....

I will continue to test out...

Great shots. I completely agree, my 5D3 is just as happy, if not more so, at the track than my old 7D.

Yep, great job on #3. It appears like flash or some sort of fill reflector on the left really helped out.

No Flash was used for these shots, that was sunlight! :-)

Nice work on #3 -- great composition and exposure, plus the focus of the rider. Other shots are good too, but 3 stands out. Also, the other two shots may have a bit to fast of a shutter, as we're not getting much rotation in the wheels. On #3, the front tire blur gives a sense of speed.
