Hello All on POTN,

I wasn't really sure where to post this, so I randomly chose here.

I just wanted to take the time to say "thank you" to all of you who have in the past offered excellent critiques, information and reviews. This is by-far, the most professional forum that exists, especially for us Canon fans.

As my time is limited, I can not always post as much as I would like to, although I read here nearly daily... be it from my home PC or someone elses.

The bottom line is..... I think the Canon family, to which we all belong to is strong and knowledgeable. We are connected in some small way to each other... some of us half a world away.

As we approach another turning of the year, let's remember to support, educate and encourage each member to be the best that they can be. It doesn't matter if the person uses a Digital Elph, or a 5D or 1DsMarkII..... the point is, we are a brother/sisterhood with a common bond..... a love for Canon, and a love of photography.

Very few places will you see this bond, support and positive critique exist than here. Kudos to those who monitor the boards, pay for the bandwidth and overall ensure that we all have a place to call "our own."

I wish you all the very best in 2006.... may your careers prosper, and if you are just a photo buff.... keep clicking! Some of the best shots we've seen have come from those who just do it "every once in a while."

May we all have a safe, happy, healthy and peaceful 2006. Happy Holidays..

Sincerely,

Gary S. Latimer - C&C always accepted/appreciated!

It could not have been said better, and I am sure it reflects the view of all of us who call this our "Canon home". Best wishes to you and yours.

I don't know about "dipping into the eggnog" but this is a great community.

After buying the DR XT based on reviews and my desire to get back into SLR photography in a digital way this forum has become my best resource for information on the Canon line and digital photography. I have purchased lenses and a flash based on my reading here as well as several books and magazine subscriptions (not to mention a GREAT camera strap).

As much as I have to learn, I'd be even further behind without this forum.

Now, back to the eggnog.

Tom

I don't love Canon, but apart from that I agree. It's a great forum.

Happy holidays! :D

I know I've said it before but I feel like I've made thousands of new friends here and learned so much valuable information to help improve the quality of my photos. You all make me laugh, think, wince and smile every day.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and Joyous New Year to all of you.

And a special thanks to Pekka and my Mod buddies. You guys are the best!

This is the first forum I've joined, and I am getting old, but haven't felt comfortable sharing my thoughts and experience before. Thanks Pekka and all the Moderators for being as honest and clear as possible so we can see the world through someone else's lens. You make it a pleasure to log on. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year and lots of great camera equipment to all!
