What type of lighting did the gym have? My daughter plays HS volleyball, which I shoot a lot. Lighting from gym to gym can be really iffy. It's a tough sport to shoot - I'd be very pleased with these. These are under fluorescent lights--the new type with the thin tubes. The color rendition seems OK but I like to be able to read the ball in my shots and end up using ISO 6400 at 1/1000 and roughly f/3.2 or so in order to stop action at 300mm. Aug 27, 2012 09:21 | #9 Some are pin sharp, some not. Guessing you had to crop a bit on the ones that aren't. Maybe it's motion blur but at 1/1000, who knows. I like #4, just wish her face was sharper. That darn net is always problematic. http://emjfotografi.com/
