Recently, a woman in a Spanish church tried to restore a famous painting. She really messed it up.
I fixed it this morning with Photoshop.
By the way, I'll soon depart on my mission to find the original dude in New Orleans. I spoke with the photographer (Dave Martin), and asked him three questions:
1. Did you take that famous photo of the guy looting for beer?
2. Who is it?
3. Where is he now?
The answers were...
1. Yes I did.
2. I have no idea.
3. I don't know. Many have tried to find him but to no avail.
Now, I know some people see this as a racial thing. Well, from my perspective it isn't. If the man had a normal hair style and a serious look upon him, and a tub of peanut butter, water, diapers, whatever, I'd be bored with the photo and not think anything of it.
But anyone who looks like that (regardless of skin color) is funny. That picture is funny no matter who your are. Wild hair, crazy grin, tub full of beer, and one in the back pocket. If anything, it makes the guy likable. Had I been in a flood that killed 2000 people and I somehow survived, I'd be looking for beers too. I'd likely pay the store back later out of guilt, however, but in the moment I'd do the same thing.
So I worked this morning with Photoshop Elements to have a little fun.
