I searched around but nothing came up, if I were to get a RRS L Plate for my 5D2 would I be able to use it on my Benro ballhead?

Provided you have an Arca Swiss clamp, then yes. Probably safer to use a knob tightening version because I use an RRS lever clamp and a Markins plate refused to tighten in it. Of course sticking to an RRS clamp of either lever or screw knob style is going to be fine as you plan to use an RRS L plate, its trying to mix and match that brings the difficulties.

My model of ballhead uses the tightening knob. In the future I may rent the L Plate and see if it works. Benro does state that their ballheads uses Arca-Swiss style systems but not sure how accurate that may be,.

Tony,

I solved the mis match between my RRS lever clamp and Markins plate by simply using a rectangle of self adhesive heavy duty sailcloth on the underside of the plate. The mismatch was that small!

Yes you can. I have the Benro B3 head and use an RRS L-plate on a gripped 5D- works great.
