This was outside of the Islemerada Fish Market, was a nice night.

Looks somewhat washed out to me. It could also use more contrast IMO.

This is a picture of what exactly? What was your goal? I see the sun going down. But that happens every day and this is not a spectacular sunset. You've got a boat on the left that is cut off, a couple of palm trees on the right -- also cut off. There's some visual interest in the people, but they're far away and silhouetted. You've told us that it was a nice night. But your photograph does not convey that feeling. Next time, spend a few moments with an evaluative eye. Clearly, you had a sense of warmth from the setting. How could you capture that?

Nice shot. Getting something interesting in sunset shots make them better than the countless others. You might lose some of the foreground water in order to get the horizon out of the middle.

I think your first crop on the second image is better. The horizon is not exactly in the center but in the above it looks more centered. And I'd clone out the flock of birds to focus on the main subject gull.
