I would like to go on a photo walk in the Packard plant ruins - but unfortunately I live a thousand miles away

I've never been there (the plant) but in all reality I can't imagine there being much to shoot. Its been empty pretty much since the company went out around 1958...

It was a giant facility made nearly entirely of reinforced concrete, but without old rusted machinery or things like that I imagine it would not present much in the way of subject matter...

OK, I remember somebody posting pics of old closed auto plants in Michigan that still had machinery and stuff in it, looked interesting in HDR style

Thanks for the link!

As to the Photo Walks in general, I've been to one, it was in downtown Portland, OR, and as such it had good "subject matter", and I'd say that we all had a good time, wrapping up the Walk by filling a big room in a nearby beer/brew pub.

I did put my name on the list for October. But October is likely to be a real chaotic month for me, I will need to move from my apartment/home of 6 years, and seriously downsize in the process. So, I can hope that I can fit the Walk in there, or maybe that I can win the Lottery:)!
