Is it a good time to buy a new 60D?

Hi
I have been monitoring the price of 60D since May this year
It seems like the price isn't going down anymore.
The current price of new 60D is about $800 on Ebay
I know that Canon will reveal new 70D probably by October but since my budget is about $1000, I would not be able to afford 7D or new 70D
I sold my 4 year old Canon Xti last month and I don't think I would need a camera until March next year.
Do you guys think the price will go down even lower? Should I buy 60D now or wait a few more months?

Thank you

CLP is not always the answer. I'm in Canada, and can not use the CLP program.. it is for US only.

Wait until next year. I'm quite sure 60D price isn't going lower
If 70D is out, 60D may be discontinued

Who knows if you wait until next year, you could buy a 5D2

Sorry to hear that. So Canon doesn't do anything for Canada? You just get jammed?

Really... you're sure the OP lives in the US? It's funny that this is an international site, but everyone assumes that everyone is in the US. A good reason to list your country in "location".

No not everyone assumes that the US is home to everyone.

I think it is very strange that Canon has no CLP for Canada. So is the US the only place that can take advantage of CLP?

Boils down to when you want to start taking photos again. Of course with in reason it is wise to plan your purchases over time especially with the amount of money camera gear costs. I doubt I will ever buy a brand new camera again. Refurbs for me offer a better value.

Best of luck with your decison.

That is total crap. How stupid of Canon to treat a market that way.

Price may drop to probably the lowest of @ $800 near Christmas. Is it worth it to save $100 and wait 3-4 months or spend the $$ and have it in your hands??

Since the thread has provided some direction to the CLP program I'd just like to mention that Goodwill Industries and the Salvation Army stores often have photo equipment suitable for the trade. I went into a Goodwill yesterday and they had a film Canon P&S for $2.
