300mm f2.8 1.4X vs. 2x comparison

I performed an un-scientific comparison between the 1.4X ii vs. 2X ii on my 300mmf2.8 and 5D3. The 1.4x image is cropped to ~ 100%; the 2X image is cropped to give approximate the same size bird. Unfortunately for me, the bird moved between the shots. which ones do you like better? First is with 1.4X, second is with 2X.

I like #2 better, what does that look like at 100% crop so we can see the iq difference between the two on a 5D mkIII

I'm very sorry but the "Attach Image" really really really degrades the image quality. Try uploading to flicker or if need be email them to me and I'll host them so we can see the "True" quality.
