The lighting on these is excellent, just what I've been trying to achieve (and failed). Lovely photos and it looks like a fun time. Cute child too.

Animal - didn't he play the drums?

Thanks Titus, yes, Animal was the drummer/crazy man.

LMFAO!!! Great, simply wonderful Sam. I just love this 35mm lens.

Thanks Dante. It is by far my favorite. The 85mm being the next in line.

Vivid colors. Creamy bokeh. I'd say you're getting your moneys worth from that lens.

last shot is priceless :)

Thanks Steve. I agree, I'm down to about $1 per shot now :D

I Love Animal!!

I have quite a collection of Animal stuff and even tattooed him on my arm. I'm a drummer, so I guess I have to love him.

Every drummer I know loves Animal, I gotta say though that you are the only one I've heard of with the tatoo :D. Thanks for looking.

What lens did you use for that and did you use a flash? I loved the lighting and DOF. I'd like to do the same look on xmas morning here too.

Thanks

I used my 35mm around f2/8. I set a strobe up in the corner and bounced it off the ceiling to try and simulate some normal lighting. I am still working on it. I want more of the tree light to come through. I keep overpowering the lights on the tree with the strobe.
