To start, I had to lay nearly face down in the dirt to get low enough for this shot. I had to spend about 30 minutes there as I took all of my shots. In post processing, I have already dumped over 10 hours into putting it together, and I still have another 10+ hours to finish all of the details. Being 12,000 pixels wide, makes for an insane amount of hand work to get it perfect down to the pixel level.

So, in the end, I will have spent over 20 hours on a single photo. Hopefully it will be worth it when printed over 80 inches wide. :D:cool:

This is why landscapers need a FF camera with a flipout screen like my previous 60D. More time spent taking shots and less time fiddling with body position and pain.

Is this a composite image?

Regardless, it is a work of art, I would say definitely worth it!

just a few of my thoughts...

That is not Mt Rainier in the BG. It is Mt Adams. Photo taken from Mt Rainier. :)
They look very similar from a distance, though.
